New Year's resolution

Mine is to become a better driver -- there have been a lot of car crashes in my new garage recently.

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope 2012 is as much fun as 2011 was.

That holiday spirit

We're still full of Christmas cheer around here, as long as that tree stays up.

(Dad's note: Picture quality on this one isn't so good, but you need to be watching this for the sound anyways.)

Merry Christmas, everybody!

Hope everyone had as great a Christmas as I did! I got to spend the last four days with almost all of my family members, and they spoiled me rotten. Mom and Dad had to rent a truck to bring home all of my gifts. I don't even know this Santa guy who bought me stuff. Maybe I'll see him next year.
Here I am with Dad, opening up presents from Grandmom and Pop-Pop.
Here I am with Aunt Jeanne, playing with the noisy ambulance that Pop-Pop got me. I love it, but Dad keeps muttering something every time the siren goes off.
I had to show Aunt Beth how to work the new books that cousin Tommy got. She got the hang of it after a while.
And when I got to Grandmom Linda's house, she and Grandpop had even more presents waiting for me! I must have won the lottery or something.

I shared some of my toys with great Grandpop Andy and great Aunt Olga. Great Grandpop really loves the pop-up books.
I had to teach Aunt Jul how the books work too. If I wasn't around, I don't know how any of these people would function.
But I had to ask Uncle Brett how to work the new garage that Mom and Dad bought me. He's pretty smart -- he knows how ramps work.
Christmas was a blast! Can we do it again next month?

Hanging out with Tommy

Grandmom and I spent yesterday trying to explain Christmas to new cousin Tommy. He just gurgled a lot, so I don't think he really got it. But I think by next Christmas we'll have it covered.

Hanging out at the White House

Grandmom and Pop-Pop had never gotten a chance to see the inside of the White House before, so I got Dad to take all of us over for a tour of the Christmas decorations. You can see all our good pictures over at his Flickr page.

The place is pretty nice, but there weren't enough toys around to make me want to move. Of course, they didn't let me walk up the stairs to the residence to see if what fun things were hidden up there. Oh well.

Winter wonderland

I don't get it. Where'd they find such small people? And why are they all trapped in that box?

Comfy chair

Are you sure this isn't a seat? Seems like it works just fine.

Just a little off the top...

Another haircut with Grandmom this weekend, but this time she told me we had to go to a professional because I wriggle too much. I blame Mom and Dad for reading all those bouncing Tigger stories to me.

Somebody Christmased all over in here

There's that little village again! I showed up right around December last year too. And I don't understand why they have so much snow localized just to our living room. This whole thing is weird.

Great literature

Yes, I really enjoy this book. Why did you ask?

Stealth Jonathan

You'll never see him coming.

Cause and effect

If I pet it really gently then maybe this time it won't ...

Comprehension

Oh, that's what a cousin is! That one up there is cousin Tommy.

And this one is cousin Ollie.

Now that I've seen them, yeah, I get why everyone was so excited. Pretty cool.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everybody had a great Turkey Day. I still haven't gotten up from the dinner table.

One last sunny day

Sunday was maybe the final nice day of the year before winter sets in, so I took Mom and Dad to the park for one last trip around the playground.

First up was the swings:

And then I showed them how the slide works:

Hopefully, that'll be enough to hold them over until spring rolls around.

Confused, part 2

Mom and Dad said I got another new cousin this afternoon, so I looked all around the house again, and found this:

It's another holiday card from Aunt Pat (Happy Thanksgiving, Aunt Pat!). Do you think Mom and Dad haven't learned the right word for "card" yet?

Road rules

Why Jonathan won't be driving ever.

New chair

... is ... so ... comfy.

Also, it's a giant baseball, which is awesome.

Rough weekend

After a weekend like the last one, even getting my socks off is too exhausting for words.

Artist at work

What Mom doesn't seem to understand is that creativity can't be confined just to paper sometimes. And I'm pretty sure that lid is washable.

Anyways, here's a copy of one of the pictures I drew today, so you can print it out and hang it on your refrigerators.

Oops, I posted it upside down! Look at how ridiculous that looks. Here's the right side up.

Sorry for the confusion there.

A little light reading

I get that the pokey little puppy represents America's post-recession economy, and the hole he dug is the lingering downturn in the housing market, but what does the bowl of pudding stand for?

Also, can I have some pudding?

Fun with leaves

They're not as soft as pillows, but still pretty fun.

Dad's note: Also, cutest Mom hug ever.

Confused

Mom and Dad keep saying I have a brand new cousin, but the only new thing I can find around here is this Halloween card from Aunt Pat. And it's a really cool card, but it doesn't explain why Grandmom and Grandpop are so excited.

Monday, October 31, 2011

Happy Halloween!

Everybody be safe out there tonight -- Super Jonathan can only watch over a handful of neighborhoods at a time.

Too much college football today

I was cooped up inside today because of the bad weather, but at least I learned a few new tackling moves watching the games with Dad. Mom apparently didn't learn anything.

Thursday, October 27, 2011

Happy 20-month birthday!

Dad, you missed a milestone this week! Don't worry, I'll go get everything set up.

OK, you go stand over there and I'll sit down next to the bear again. Got it? Make sure the flash is on.

Was that cute enough? Let me up the adorability factor a little. Just hold on, give me a second. OK, shoot.

Great -- that works, Dad. Thanks for the help.

Getting ahead of ourselves, part 2

Um, I wasn't going anywhere. I just wanted to make sure the keys still fit. Yeah, that's all.

School picture time again

Just got the copies of my annual school picture again -- they turned out pretty nice. For the life of me I can't remember how that photographer got me to sit still long enough for this shot. That guy was a real pro.

Getting ahead of ourselves

Yeah, we don't need to worry about that for a few more years. But watching the cars go by is still fun.

Practice makes perfect

Sorry it took me a few days to get up my latest post, but I've been doing a lot of practicing around the house.

First, I've been practicing my words:

Then I was practicing my conducting skills:

And then I was working on my comedy routine:

Physical comedy is tough, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

First haircut

Got my first haircut this weekend -- It was just a little trim off the back and the sides. Grandma said she'd do it after she hear Mom muttering something about a mullett and NASCAR.

If you don't know why the cooler is there, you've obviously never had a good haircut.

Monday, October 10, 2011

Look, up in the air!

Super Jonathan to the rescue!

Actually, Super Jonathan is gonna need some food before he does anything heroic. Thanks.

Dad's note: Hey, I think I fixed the comments now. They look different, but hopefully they'll work again.

Let it out

Nothing takes care of a disappointing sports loss like laying on the floor and screaming.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

I've got mail!

I got a surprise postcard in the mail today of myself -- Grandmom and Pop-Pop sent this picture taken on vacation last month. It's pretty cool, but I was sorta hoping they were writing me from Hawaii, and planning on flying me out for a visit.

Four stages of Jonathan

Cranky

Sleepy

Waking up again

Ready to roll

OK, we're missing "hungry" in this set, but what do you think I was headed out to find?

Praticing for the playoffs

The Phillies start the post-season on Saturday, so I'm practicing my curveball again in case Roy Halladay needs any pointers.

He'll probably be OK without me, but it doesn't hurt to practice.

Volume control

There are loud toddlers, and there are loud pajamas. And sometimes, you have both.

Outtakes from school

The teachers at daycare just sent home a whole bunch of old photos they found while cleaning. Most of these never made it onto any posters or cards for Mom and Dad, but they seem to think they're still cute. I have no idea what I was doing with that ball.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

I've got your nose

Well, I know where your nose is. It's only a matter of time before I steal it.

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Think fast!

Here comes my knuckleball.

Sunday, September 11, 2011

LEGOS!!!

These new toys seems pretty cool, but I think Dad is more excited about them than I am.

Football Friday

I know the Eagles don't play their first game until Sunday, but I wanted to wear my team colors to school today to show off. Plus, all my Phillies shirts were in the wash.
