These blocks are pretty fun, but Dad gets way more excited about playing with them than I do.
Wait, they stick together? How cool is that?!?

What Sundays were made for
Seriously, can you think of a better way to spend a nice summer Sunday afternoon?
Well, yes, getting a few Phillies runs would make it a better day. But you get my point.

A trip to Eckley
More from last weekend -- I got a chance to travel up to Eckley Miners Village and see where my Great-Grandpop Shane grew up. It was very cool. You can see all the pictures over here.

The return of Super Jonathan
Apparently some of you thought Super Jonathan was just a nickname, but I do actually possess superhuman skills. For example, watch what happened when this devious, rock-hard, 3,000-pound stump threatened my family.
Evildoers, beware!

Happy Father's Day
I got a chance to hang out with both grandpops this weekend up the Poconos. We had a great time. Dad was there too, but I don't have any pictures with him because somebody had to work the camera while the three of us were playing. But, don't worry -- I bought him some legos for us to play with together, so he had a pretty good holiday too. I'll have lots more pictures later in the week.

Learning how to swim
Just a few more lessons from me and Grandmom will know how to have fun in the pool (or, at least in the hot tub.)

Fireman Jonathan
Grandmom and Pop-Pop took me to a community fair this weekend, and you'll never guess what they had there.
YES, IT WAS A FIRE TRUCK!!!! How did you know?
The wheels were so shiny, I could see my own reflection.
Cousin Tommy and Pop-Pop got to play on the truck too, but I think Tommy is a little too young to be thinking seriously about being a fireman. Let's give him another year before we start looking at his professional possibilities.

But Grandmom would let me ...
It counts in my dairy food group! She said so. And it's the same color as milk.
Fine, I'll give it back, but you better have something else fun for me to eat instead...

OK, that works.

First pet
Daycare sent home a fish as a Mother's Day present a few weeks back, so I've been taking care of him for Mom. For some reason, he's a little nervous around me when I wear my shark shirt. I don't understand why.
We decided to name him Freddie Galfish, after the Phillies' second baseman. Mom wanted to name him after her favorite movie -- Jaws 4 The Revenge -- but we decided that took too long to say. I wanted to name him Koi Detmer, but Dad said that would just be too ridiculous.

The creative process
Dad's note: Since many of you have asked how we get such great pictures of Jonathan, here's a "making of the photo" video showing how the process works. It's a painstaking, serious effort by all three of us, demanding constant professionalism and strict attention to detail. Take a look:
