Happy Birthday to me! (Part four)

Every year around this time, Dad makes me take an official birthday photo. And every year, it's totally boring because everything looks exactly the same. 

Seriously. Here I am at just a few days old:

And, now that I'm 4, absolutely nothing has changed in the last year:

OK, OK, I'll admit it -- Things have changed in the last few years. I no longer wear socks all the time. But beyond that, everything looks the same to me. 

I hope Mom and Dad take better care of that bear for next year, though. He keeps looking litter and littler. 

Birthday party!

My real birthday isn't until Monday, but we decided to have a big party on Saturday to make sure everybody didn't have to rush over from work. Good thing too, because we had a lot of celebrating to do.

We had sooooo many balloons -- on the ceiling, on the floor, in the middle of those two (when Ollie and Tommy and I were kicking them).

Mom made great cupcakes and even managed to spell my name out on them! I think she made other good food too, but I was just worried about the cupcakes.

I got so many presents from everyone. Tommy helped me open them, and then he and Ollie both helped me play with them too.

Here we are outside, trying out my new soccer ball and goal (and wearing my new jacket too). I was pretty good at scoring, and Ollie was really good at tackling. I'm not sure if the rules allow that. That's a different kind of football.

When we left the house this morning, we had two snowmen. But when we got home...

I'm getting really good at mountain climbing and building snowmen. 

Sculpture spelling

Of course I did the spelling for that! I mean, Dad was the one who shaped the letters, but I told him how to spell my name. The only letter I can shape is this big O here, but I'm working on it. 

Board game excitement

What's better than a game of Zingo? A game of indoor cave Zingo, played in a cave made out of a blanket, tables and a couch. 

Seriously, it puts a whole new twist on game strategy. 

More and more snow

Look, I love throwing snowballs more than anyone, but this is getting ridiculous already. 

Getting ready for the Olympics

The Winter Games have inspired me to start my training.

I don't want to brag, but I'm pretty sure I'm a guaranteed medal for Brazil in 2016. 

Building your vocabulary

Making a J out of Legos is harder than making a U or a C, but it's waaay easier than making a K. By the way, I'm gonna need a lot more if I'm gonna spell my whole name this way.
