Happy birthday to me (part five)
Every year around this time, Dad makes me take an official birthday photo. And nothing every changes, even a little.
Here I am at just a few days old:
Fourth birthday:
But, for the sake of consistency ...
First birthday:
Second birthday:
Third birthday:
And this year? Well, I still don't have any socks that fit.
But I do still love this birthday thing ... and that bear.

Happy 5th birthday!
Tuesday was my birthday, but Sunday was the big party at the bowling alley. Here I am relaxing my hand with the air blower before another roll down the lane. I played a ton of games, so I needed the massage.
We had ramps to help roll the balls and grandparents to help aim the shots. They offered to carry the bowling balls for us, but the other boys and I all carried our own. The six-pounders were just the right size. You'd be surprised how quickly Tommy and I can run with them.
Grandmom Shane made me this awesome Superman cake -- she said she got the pattern from when my Dad was little. I asked if she used the same icing from when he was little too, but she said she had to find some fresher stuff.
And afterwards there were presents to open at home and more cake and more balloons...
This whole week has been so much fun, I asked Mom and Dad if I can have a birthday next month too. They said no, but I'll keep working on it.

Hanging out with Tommy
Grandmom tells me that Tommy used to sit on Jonathan's lap like this, but he seems really big to have him lounging on you. Pretty comfy, though.

Second snow of the season
Now that's more like it.
We got about six inches of snow on Tuesday, more than enough for my friend Chase and I to build a snow fort and a snowman. (Dad helped some too).
And Emma? She didn't really play in the snow much, but it's probably for the best. We might have lost her in a snow drift with that nice white coat.

First snow of the season
We got just a little bit of snow over the weekend, but Mom and Dad promised me there will be more later this week. There better be, because this was barely enough to play in.
But at least it was enough for Emma to see what snow looks like. Hopefully we'll have enough to make her a snowman in a few days...

Valentine's wishes
Here's the valentine I made for Mom and Dad this year:
And here's the one Emma made at school:
Personally, I think she cheated a little bit, because she didn't even try to use her hands to make it. But, Mom and Dad still liked it. I guess that's all that matters.
Thanks to everyone who sent us cards!

Dreaming of summer
The weather was nice enough this weekend to head outside and dust off the frisbee for a bit. When do we get to wear shorts again?

Bedtime stories
I'm not sure this Incredible Hulk story is age-appropriate for Emma. Maybe we have something a little more PG-13-months?

A quick snack
I heard stars are one of the new five essential food groups, with burp cloths, toes, Mom's fingers...
