First day of kindergarten

Oh boy.
Not sure how this happened, but we're in big girl school with a big girl uniform already. Luckily, we're not completely stuck on big girl faces.

I couldn't be more excited to start my new school First day was filled with a lot of nervousness, but I know Jonathan is in a classroom nearby, so that made me feel better on the first day.

And there's no better way to end the first day of school than with a special lunch with Dad. Four different people at the restaurant said I looked great in my uniform, so I consider that a win.

First day of fourth grade

Yep, somehow we're up to this already. Another year and another grade up. Luckily, we're not too old yet for close ups.

Closer.

CLOSER.

ALL THE WAY!!!!

We're also not too old for goofy pictures yet either, which is how we ended up with these faces.

Last week at daycare

Every day, after Dad drops me off at daycare, I blow him some hugs and kisses from the window out front. I hope we can still do that at my new school too.

Down on the corner

No, Emma, I don't know what the "no loitering" sign means. I'm sure it's not important.

Just having some beach talk

Lexi makes some really good points about how much we could save on vacations if we all just lived here year round.

Balloon animals

Jonathan's turtle kind of matched his shirt...

... but if you're looking for fashion sense with your blow-up jewelry, I have a ladybug right here to show you how it's done.

Boardwalk rides

C'mon, you think I'm gonna miss a chance to ride a motorcycle? They never let me do this at home.

Jonathan's favorite ride this year was a big obstacle course that ended with this awesome slide. I think he went on it about 100 times. I liked it too, but there was too much climbing and not enough motorcycles.

My favorite was the log drop, which has lots of speed and lots of screaming.

Jonathan and Dad went on there too, and made funnier faces than Mom and I.

But the best ride may have been the mini race cars, because Lexi and I both got to scream at the top of our lungs on there. And what could be more fun than that?

Arcade time

Jonathan and Ollie decided to stand and fight when the dinosaur invasion came ...

... but Lexi and I thought better of that and jumped on our hoverbikes to speed out of town. Made a lot more sense.

Hanging with Grandmom

One of the best parts of the week at the beach is getting to spend extra time getting spoiled by Grandmom.

For example, Mom and Dad never seem to object to us eating extra ice cream when Grandmom says it's time for our nightly boardwalk stroll.

And we get to run all around Ocean City to get balloon animals and new toys and lots of good photo ops.

Of course, sometimes weird things happen when you hang out with that Doyle crowd for too long. But you just have to roll with it.

Jersey shore, 2019

Time to hit the beach again!

Jonathan and I got a full week at the Jersey shore with Grandmom again this year, and this year I was big enough to stand up to those waves. Well, most of them.

Plus there was a little lagoon on the beach this summer, which meant plenty of ominous lurking.

Everything was a blast until Jonathan and Ollie lost their legs, which was a shame. Maybe we'll find them next year.

More kindergarten prep

Kindergarten is only a few weeks away, so I need to keep getting ready.

No pictures, please

Well, maybe I'll pose for a quick shot, but then I'm off to my next movie audition.
