I had my first cross country meet this weekend -- Two miles in 23 minutes. Not bad for someone who thought the 400 meter run was too far too run just a few months ago.

Gym birthday party

Since we've been so into Ninja Warrior lately, Mom and Dad decided I should have a birthday party at the local tumble gym. And it was awesome. 

They had places to run.

They had rings to swing on. 

They had a balance beam. 

They had a place for Jonathan to nap. 

And after we were all sweaty, they had cake. After that I had enough sugar to bounce a lot more, but Mom thought maybe that wasn't the best idea. Still, it was a ton of fun. 

Happy birthday to me (version 2, part 5)

Yep, it's that time again -- let's check in on how much our big bear has shrunk again. I'm starting to think Mom and Dad may never address this problem.

The good thing is that even though lots of things change each year, some things don't. For example, Jonathan still brings out the weird in me.

Frankly, we're a pretty good team.

It's pretty chilly right now, but I still wish they could keep the pool open all year. Maybe if they put in some heaters...
