Shark pool week

OK, it's not as awesome as a full sized-pool, but tell me that Emma doesn't look as happy as she has ever been relaxing in this cool refreshment. 

Grandmom and Pop and Aunt Kate!

It has been a while since we got to have the Warminster crew come visit us, but we got to see them this weekend and it was just like old times. I mean, Pop's beard was a little more out of control, but otherwise they still looked the same. 

We didn't get to see the cats this time, but Grandmom brought Catopoly to play, so that was almost as good. Anyways, it just meant less bodies fighting for Grandmom's lap. 

We even got to show them our new routine of visiting Mary's shrine at our local church. Things are still a little different, but it's nice to get this back to normal.

I'm not sure I understand how naps work. Babies need them, but then grown-ups like them too? How does that work? Anyways, I'm just gonna lay here and watch TV for a while...

I know I saw a four-leaf clover in there. We just have to both look very carefully to find it again. 

Sittin on the beach of the bay

It's not the Jersey shore, but we got to start our summer vacation with a little beach this week, thanks to Sandy Point State Park on the Chesapeake Bay. 

The beach isn't as big as in New Jersey and the waves aren't as high, but it's only 20 minutes from home and gave us a chance for some safely-distanced swimming for the first time this year. And you can't beat that. 

Last day of school, 2020

So, the last day of the school year was really different than the first, but we still managed to rock fourth grade and kindergarten. We haven't had uniforms on for three months now, but we did learn a lot even from our home classroom. And hopefully we'll be back in class soon. 

Speaking of rocking the school year...

And Emma got her Kindergarten graduation diploma plus a "Phenomenal Friend" award, to which she said "well, I was a pretty good friend."

Hello, summer!

The grass is longer, the trees are blooming, and it's gotten so hot out here that Jonathan agreed to put on a short-sleeve shirt. Must be June for real now.
