Just a few pool days left -- I gotta get my sun in before the cold weather comes!

Our classroom set-up

You see a dining room, I see a science lab. 

I'm not saying this is too distracting, but I'm not sure how many screens we can fit on one table. Maybe that's a problem for math class? 

 

First day of (home) school

Well, classes start today, but not in our normal school building. Instead we'll be doing at least a few months of remote schooling, but hopefully back as soon as we can be. In the meantime ...

Here's the new first grader (wearing her "covid kindergarten grad" T-shirt) ...

Happy birthday to Grandmom!

Grandmom had a pretty important birthday this year, so we all brought some extra presents to the shore to help celebrate. She said she really loved the pictures we painted for her, but she loved getting to hang out and hug all of us even more. And that's nice, but the best part was really the cake. It always is. 
 

Testing the surf

Last year when we were at the beach, these waves seemed a lot bigger to Lexi and me. This year, they seem a little further down towards the ground for some reason ...

So let's get to work on the surf!
 

Down the shore, 2020

Cancel all our appointments for the next few days -- we're spending a week with Grandmom, Ollie and Lexi at the beach. I know that's a lot of together time, but I think we'll find a way to have some fun.
