Picking flowers from the Lego box

Usually Jonathan is the one who gets to put together Lego sets, but I got this nice mini bouquet of flowers from Aunt Jul and got to show him a thing or two about plastic gardening. 
 

Mountain climbing skills

On a recent trip to a nearby trail, Jonathan and Dad thought it would be a cool idea to climb up an extra-steep hill to see how far they could get. 

I did not think it was a great idea. For the record, none of us made it all the way up. 
 

Physical fitness for homework

Did you know you could get homework for gym class? Me either. But I've got to finish 100 of these before I see the PE teacher next week. So...

Just a little more birthday

One birthday is nice, but having a rolling two-week birthday is even nicer. And getting the whole house decorated with super hero girls is just part of the fun. 

Grandmom, Pop and Aunt Kate got to come down for some cupcakes and singing, which was awesome. 

And, of course, presents are always a good call. 

Happy birthday to me (version 2, part 6)

Another year, another chance to check on the bear. That guy has been hanging around our house for a long time now. 

Here he is just a few days after I first came home:

Three years back? The bear got smaller:

And at age four, he started to lose even more size:

And this year? Well -- 

I know, right? 

But that's not all. You should see how small the bear looks when you sit him next to Jonathan: 

Also, you wouldn't believe how heavy Jonathan is when he's on your lap.

Maybe this wasn't our best or safest idea, but it was one of the most fun. 

Early birthday time

It's still a few days until my real birthday, but if you have cousins and cake available, there's not reason not to celebrate early.
