First day of 1st Grade

The uniform is pretty much the same as last year, except I know how to make it look even cooler now.

Emma started her first day in the "twos" class at daycare today too, so we both had new classes to get used to. But we both were ready and excited this time.

Here I am just before the opening bell, with some of my friends from kindergarten. There are twice as many boys as girls in the class this year, so I'm sure that means a lot quieter and calmer class all year long. I can't wait!

Summer slipping by

We don't have a lot of time left to get all these naps in, Pop.

Impressive gymnastics

Come for the slow somersaults, stay for the unexpected quick flip.

Seek and find

Jonathan is sooo good at these puzzles, but I feel like maybe he got a head start on finding all the hidden pictures in some of these books.

New pajamas

Of course I love Paw Patrol too. Did you know it's all about dogs?!?!?

Bye bye, beach

We had a great time with Grandmom and Pop and the whole Doyle family last week, but now we're headed back to work and school. To be honest, I'd rather still be flying that kite.

Boardwalk rides

As if the beach wasn't fun enough, there are amusement park rides at the end of the boardwalk. Here's Ollie and I testing out their speedy cars, which were a lot rougher than the ride to school most days.

They also had a bunch of boats and submarines, but they all went around in circles. I tried to get them out onto the ocean, but no luck.

Mom and Emma had fun on the flying elephants, which were a blast but really didn't make any sense. They should have been flying dinosaurs.

Emma took Grandmom and Aunt Rose on the carousel, and now she wants to bring a horse home. Doesn't she know the mess those things make?
