Aunt Beth braids

Dad does an OK job most mornings with my hair, but he can't make me look like Elsa the way Aunt Beth can.

Birthday bowling!

Where else would you celebrate an 8th birthday?

Our family and friends all headed out to the bowling alley for a party this past Saturday. I got in two games amid all the other festivities. And I bowled a spare! I'm saving the strike for next year.

Emma had a different kind of fun, sleeping on Pop almost the whole time. In fairness, she did stay up late with Tommy, Shane and me the night before.

Afterwards we went back to the house for cake and snacks. Here's a picture of me eating a pepper before my ice cream. Honestly, I'm not sure why Mom and Dad didn't just get a pepper cake.

Happy birthday to me (part 8)

You know what time it is. That bear waits for this the whole year, and he's always happy to see me.

Here he is when I was just a few days old:

Here he is at my first birthday:

At my second birthday:

At my third birthday:

At my fourth birthday:

At my fifth, still looking small:

At my sixth birthday:

Here's number 7:
And today? My feet bear-ly fit in the picture. Get it?

But seriously this bear is starting to look small.

On a related note, Emma really wanted to pose for a picture with me on my birthday and, well, we should probably practice this "sitting nicely together" thing through the whole year, so we don't end up with photos like this.

Just a few flurries

I mean, it looks pretty, but there's not really enough here to play in.

Photo booth fun

Two of my classmates had a photo booth at their birthday party this weekend, so I drug Mom and Emma inside for some quick shots. The hat was my idea. It looked good. I'm a little sad I couldn't keep it.

Disney on Ice!

Thanks to Grandmom Linda, we got tickets to go see Frozen at a big hockey arena. Emma wanted to see a hockey game too, but none of the actors would check each other during the performance.

The whole thing was pretty wild. I enjoyed all the singing while Emma kept asking why Kristoff didn't just cut a block out of the ice if that was his job. But I think she enjoyed it too.

Cinderella

Seriously, if Jonathan tracks dirt down this hallway one more time I'm going to make him do his own laundry.
