Incoming!

I got a chance to take Emma, Mom and Dad to the playground near BWI airport this weekend, and you'll never guess what we saw. It was planes! Landing nearby!

Emma screamed for nearly every one that came in, which was fun but exhausting. And I'm not sure the passengers could hear her. The planes were pretty loud.

Picnic in the park

Mom and Dad found a new park for us to hang out in this weekend. It had a perfect lunch picnic spot between a turtle pond and a beautiful gazebo. Best peanut-butter sandwiches ever.

And then, less than a mile away from there, we found canoes to rent. We took a nice ride along Maryland's South River and Hatchett's Creek and saw a ton of very cool birds. It wasn't as great as Pop Shane's canoe rides on the lake, but it's a lot closer to travel to.

Ready to go out

Mismatched pajamas, unkempt hair and Dad's socks. I'm ready to face the day!

New pets!

Meet Bitey and Joe! Grandmom convinced Mom that we should have some fish around the house, to help answer any marine-related questions. Emma wants to hug them but so far we've kept her dry. But they are cool to watch swim.

All great artists work in their socks, you know.
