Clean up time

I'll let you know when we're done playing, Dad. It's not now.

Last day of daycare

Kindergarten starts next week, and today was my last day at daycare. I learned a lot here in the last five years, and they had great toys, so I'm gonna miss it here. But Emma is still hanging out here during the week. So I'll get plenty of chances to come back and visit all my teachers here. Maybe I can teach them some new lessons from school...

New shoes

Yeah, they're cute enough, Mom, but you know my policy -- anything that you put on these feet comes off as soon as possible, so I can get my toes free.

Dynamic duo

C'mon, Dad, get the picture before she tries to jump off the couch again!

Construction schedule

Quick, Jonathan, before the cars reach the bottom of the ramp! We need more road!

Leftover scenes from the shore

Here's me enjoying an ice cream cone with Mom on the boardwalk. It tasted really good, but afterwards Mom was waaaaay too hyper.

Here's Ollie and I testing out the Ocean City playground equipment. You would not believe how fast Ollie could climb that cargo net. I think he's part pirate or something.

Here's I am showing Mom and Pop the giraffes at the Cape May Zoo. Honestly, I don't have enough space on this blog to tell you how exciting the giraffes were. There were other animals at the zoo too, but we didn't take any pictures of them because it would take away space for giraffe pictures. THE GIRAFFES WERE SO COOL.

Emma at the beach

Last week was my first trip to see the ocean, and I still can't figure out how they put all that water in there. Luckily, I had grandparents to hold me the whole visit, so it wasn't too intimidating.

Playing in the sand was fun but Grandmom wouldn't let me taste any of it. Why can't I taste the ground? I mean, I lick the rug at home all the time and no one complains. Except Mom and Dad. And Jonathan too.

I still don't understand how Jonathan played that much in the big waves. The little ones were trying to pull me away. It was still pretty fun, though.

But next time, I want a boogie board.

Jonathan at the beach

Grandmom and Pop Doyle picked the best week of the summer to rent a shore house and invite us down. I spent part of every day last week in the water, even though Pop was a little scared of the waves when we first got there.

But the waves were awesome. Did you know they keep coming and coming and coming no matter what? Just look at how much fun they were.

Plus, Ollie and I got to build all sorts of stuff in the sand. Dad helped a little with this row of towers, because carrying all that sand really is tiring work.

I suggested that we all stay another week, but Mom and Dad said something about work and mortgage payments. I bet they'll regret that choice in a few more days.

Almost home

We'll be back with beach pictures soon! Just keep hanging around for a little longer.

Relaxing at the shore

My pictures have been a little slow this week because we're all down at the beach with Grandmom and Pop Doyle. And it takes a lot of my energy to keep them entertained all day long. But I'll get more up soon, I promise.

Working out

It's never too early to start getting ready for spring training. Dad says if I'm left-handed I have to be a relief pitcher, so I've got to get my triceps stronger.
